This Canberra-based company is developing and marketing a range of exceptionally hard products for application in manufacturing, research, medical applications and consumer products. The company uses a patented process to manufacture materials that are second only to diamonds for their hardness but possess characteristics that diamonds lack. In particular, the company's material is electrically conductive and can therefore be shaped through standard Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment into any design. The material's low friction coefficient, excellent wear resistance, thermal stability and X-ray transparency make it suitable for a wide range of applications.
