Biotron is an ASX (Australian Stock Exchange) listed Australian biotechnology
company that has developed a number of potential products out of research
at the John Curtin School of Medical Research at the Australian National
University (ANU).
The most advanced of these products are two forms of non-invasive tests for the presence of cancer and a number of innovative antiviral compounds. The company's lead antiviral drug, targeting HIV and Hepatitis C, has successfully completed a preclinical program and Phase I Human Trials will soon begin. The company's suite of compounds have also demonstrated efficacy against Bird Flu, SARS Coronavirus and Dengue fever.
