The festival offers a program of wide ranging, enjoyable, fine music for both the local and national community and with some of Australia’s finest performers, together with internationally renowned artists. 

12 days of vibrant music making, one massive program with something for music lovers of all ages and tastes!  Captivating and intimate concerts in embassies, churches, cinemas, galleries and theatres celebrating the best in classical, jazz, world/fusion, electronica, cabaret and multimedia performance.

Sounds Alive ’08 is a unique series of 12 cutting edge concerts from around the globe, celebrating the best in new music: jazz, world, fusion, electronica, chamber, cabaret and multimedia, video performance.
Featuring So Percussion (USA), Iva Bittova (Czech Republic), Don Byron Ivey Divey Trio (USA), Crash Ensemble (Ireland), Polygraph Lounge Cabaret (USA), Rob Schwimmer (USA), Puppetsweat Theater (USA), Lisa Moore (USA/Aust), Eileen Mack (USA/Aust), Ensemble Offspring, Robyn Archer and Paul Grabowksy, Dean Emerson Dean Trio, The Grainger String Quartet, Gary France, Drumatix and Stopera.
