John Hindmarsh has over 30 years experience at all levels of management
in the construction and property industries in Australia and overseas.
Graduating from the University of NSW with an Honours Degree in Building, he is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Building and holds an "A" Class Building Licence.
Locating to Canberra in 1971 after several years working in Papua New Guinea and Europe, John Hindmarsh founded Hindmarsh in 1979. Under his leadership, the company expanded from its Canberra origins into various property and construction markets including Adelaide, Sydney, the United States, Vietnam and Malaysia. The group is active in project and construction management, consulting, general contracting, property development, investment syndication and carparking, hotel and retirement industry operations and venture capital.
